Getting Started with WebTycho: Special Requirements
All UMUC-Europe DE classes are offered via WebTycho, a Web-based learning environment. To participate, students must have a reliable personal e-mail account and graphical browser access to the Internet;
For best results with WebTycho, use any of these browers with any of these computer operating systems.
Browsers:
- Netscape Communicator 7.0 or higher (for PC)
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher (for PC)
- AOL 8.0 or higher (for PC)
- Netscape 7.1 or higher (for Macintosh)
Operating Systems:
- Windows 2000 (for PC)
- Windows XP (for PC)
- Macintosh OS X 10.3
Go to the WebTycho home page at http://tychousa.umuc.edu, click on "Help and Support," bookmark this site, and make sure your computer is set up correctly. Students must also complete the orientation to WebTycho.
Please Note: If you are a new student to WebTycho you will receive your username and password once you are officially enrolled into a class. Do not attempt to create your own student account.
