
Enrolling in UMUC Home Campus DE Courses

Effective immediately, UMUC-Europe students can enjoy a lower tuition rate when enrolling in undergraduate distance education (DE) courses from the UMUC home campus in Adelphi, MD. In addition to the many Europe and Asia options, students are able to choose from hundreds of online home campus courses. Undergraduate home campus DE courses are now available to UMUC-Europe students at the European military contract rate.
Here in Europe, UMUC is upgrading its registration system to make registration in home campus courses as quick and efficient as possible. Before this new registration system comes online, it is still possible for you to register for UMUC home campus courses at the European military contract rate. Just follow these steps:
Registration/Course Information:
- MID-SPRING 2008 (Term 4 07) -- 24 March - 28 June 2008
- Register NOW - 17 March 2008
- Submit a Request Reservation for UMUC-Stateside DE Class. GoArmyEd students must go directly to their GoArmyEd portal to request TA, register, or drop/withdraw from a UMUC Home Campus DE course. For more information, please go to Getting started with GoArmyEd and then continue with Step 6.

Print out a copy of the confirmation letter(s). Complete and process the appropriate forms if receiving government tuition assistance or VA educational benefits. Please use the confirmation letter as verification of reservation.

Take the printed confirmation letter(s) to the nearest UMUC-Europe field site and complete the required registration forms (to include payment of tuition and fees - cash not accepted). Students cannot register for a DE course without a printed copy of a valid confirmation letter. Note, reservations are held for 7 days. However, reservations made in the last week of registration will not be given 7 days as to comply with the registration end date.

- Accessing your WebTycho classroom:
- New students to WebTycho will receive an e-mail with their account information. Please contact the DE Office if you do not receive an e-mail containing your login information.
- Returning UMUC DE students should use their existing WebTycho accounts (login and password). Please contact the DE Office if you have forgotten your password.
After classes begin:

Register for your proctored exam.
- Contact your UMUC-Europe field representative if you wish to cancel your registration. Once the course begins, you will need to submit an Application for Withdrawal. GoArmyEd students must go through GoArmyEd to drop a class. (See the DE Withdrawal Dates for UMUC-Stateside.)
