Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the Sembach Education Center in Building 203, room 304.

To find our location, please take Autobahn 6 in the direction of Kaiserslautern. From the A6, exit at the "Kaiserslautern Ost" exit, toward Mainz. At the end of the ramp, make a right turn at the traffic light onto the German Federal Highway B-40. After you drive past the flight line, make a right turn. You will pass the town of Mehlingen as you drive on the access road. At the next stop sign, turn left. Drive straight until the next "T" interesection and there turn right. Take the next left turn, which will lead you to the main gate of Sembach. The UMUC office is located on the third floor of Bldg 203 in room 304.

Computer Labs

A UMUC sponsored computer lab is not located directly at Sembach, however students are encouraged to use the lab facilities in Kaiserslautern or Ramstein. Each computer at these labs provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

Sembach Air Base is located in Kaiserslautern and is the home of the Air Force Meteorological Center and a large Air Force Civilian Personnel Office. There are several dining facilities available on the air base, to include Anthony's Pizza, Baskin Robbins, and a fast food kiosk in the bowling alley.
