Directions and Parking

The UMUC office is located in the Mildenhall Education Center in Building 427.

To find our location after entering the base through Gate One and passing through the inspection point, please make a right turn and continue straight until reaching reachign a four-way intersection. At the intersection, make a right turn onto Missouri Road and continue straight until the first right, just past Bldg 424. Turn right and continue straight until you see Washington Square, on the left side of the road. Turn left into Washington Squre, and a parking lot is available. Park where space is available. The UMUC office is located in the building on the left side of Washington Square, Bldg 427, on the first floor.

Computer Labs

The UMUC sponsored computer lab has 15 computers available for student use. Each computer provides access to the Internet, as well as a word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. The computer lab is accessible Mon-Fri, 0800-2100 and alternate Saturdays, 1000-1400.

Testing Services

Placement tests for English and math courses and proctored exams for distance education courses are available through your local UMUC office. Please contact the field representative to schedule an appointment.

Additional Site Information

RAF Mildenhall is nestled near the villages of Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Brandon, and Ely. The historic town of Bury St. Edmunds is located nearby. In addition, Mildenhall is about 6 miles from RAF Lakenheath with a base shuttle bus offering transport between Lakenheath and Mildenhall.

RAF Mildenhall base offers many activities, including a fitness facility, bowling alley, movie theater, public library, and a community center with an Internet café. In addition, Mildenhall has the base exchange with local vendors and a 24-hour Shoppette. Dining facilities include: Taco Bell, Baskin Robins, Anthony's Pizza, Burger King. Lodging is available through the Gateway Inn.
